Software Engineer — Research Platform

The Role

The research platform is the firm's force multiplier: petabytes of tick data, a backtesting grid, and the tooling that turns a researcher's idea into a production strategy in hours. You will build the systems that make three hundred brilliant people faster.

What You'll Do

• —Scale our historical data lake and point-in-time feature store
• —Build distributed backtesting infrastructure on the research cluster
• —Design APIs and notebook tooling that researchers genuinely love
• —Harden the promotion path from research code to production capital

What We Require

• —Strong software engineering fundamentals in Python and one systems language
• —Experience with distributed compute (Ray, Spark, or homegrown equivalents)
• —Empathy for research workflows and hatred of friction

Nice to Have

• —Columnar storage internals (Arrow, Parquet)
• —ML infrastructure experience
